AAMCO East Point: My Passion for Keeping You on the Road

At AAMCO East Point, I believe auto repair is about more than just fixing machines, it’s about helping my neighbors stay safe and mobile. My name is Nick Pullano, and at my center on N. Church St., I bring a lifelong passion for cars and a commitment to honest service to every driver here in East Point.

My Journey to the Shop

My fascination with cars started long before I opened these doors. As a kid, I was glued to car shows on TV, and by the time I was in high school, I was obsessed with the challenge of working on unique and older vehicles. I’ve spent the last 35 years immersed in the automotive world, doing everything from managing parts warehouses to driving tractor-trailers delivering components to dealerships.

I eventually moved from Boston to Georgia while working for a major automaker, but I knew I wanted something more personal. I opened this shop because I love the challenge of making complex puzzles work and the fun of spending my days with fellow "car guys" who share my dedication.

Building Trust Through Transparency

I know that auto repair can feel overwhelming if you don’t live under a hood like I do. That is why I make it a priority to talk to you person-to-person. I use layman’s terms to explain exactly what is going on with your vehicle, mixed with the technical details you need to make an informed decision. I want you to walk out of my shop feeling knowledgeable, comfortable, and confident in the work we’ve done.

A Story of Service

Every day brings a new challenge, but some jobs stay with me forever. I remember an older couple from Canada who were heading to Florida for their grandchild’s wedding when their transmission failed. They limped into my lot with only two gears left. They were stressed and on a tight deadline, so we stepped up.

We set up their camper in our back lot with water and electricity so they’d be comfortable. When I found out a replacement transmission was available but couldn’t be delivered in time, I hopped in my own truck and drove to the state line to pick it up myself. We had them back on the road in just over 27 hours. Getting a thank-you card signed by their entire wedding party is exactly why I do what I do.

Life Beyond the Bay

When I’m not at the shop, you’ll usually find me at the racetrack. I drive in the SCCA and Trans AM Series, and I love using my car to give back. I bring my racing vehicles to charity shows to raise money for children’s cancer research and give rides around the track to veterans, first responders, and kids who need a break from the tough days they face.

Whether you have a complex transmission issue or just need an oil change, my long-time team and I are here for you. You might even spot our "shop raccoon" near the dumpster when we’re closing up late, he stays out of the way, but he’s part of the atmosphere here.

Stop by and see us at East Point AAMCO. I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your car.
